Día del Sol 2023
June 15, 2023 at 5:30 pm
Grandville Avenue Arts & Humanities invites you to join us on Thursday, June 15 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. for an evening to celebrate and support the vision of a flourishing neighborhood on Grand Rapids’ southwest side. Día del Sol brings our students, supporters, and partners together for an evening of curiosity and creativity with our neighbors to cultivate inclusion and justice.
This year’s theme is DISCOVERY! The arts and humanities allow us to discover different parts of ourselves, expanding our perspectives and world. Gaining more awareness of ourselves and others through creativity, self-expression, and learning is critical to what we offer youth at GAAH.
- Discover your favorite flavors during our “roaming style” dinner and dessert, which can be enjoyed anytime throughout the evening.
- Discover your own creative spark with hands-on art activities.
- Discover a new piece of artwork or a great local business in our silent auction.
- Discover the next fashion trend at our live screen printing station, where student designs will be sold on different apparel.
Join us as we create, celebrate, and discover the interconnectedness and joy of our community and support programs at GAAH that allow youth to discover more about the world around them.
