Día del Sol -- June 21

Día del Sol is GAAH's annual fundraiser that supports the programs of the Cook Arts Center and the Cook Library Center.  Mark your calendar for Thursday, June 21,5:00-7:30 p.m., at the Cook Arts Center. Tickets are a bargain at only $25.

Día del Sol guests can look forward to:

► delectable food catered by chef extraordinaire Tommy Fitzgerald

► the South American sounds of Villalobos

► dance performances by Grupo Tarasco, MI Peru, and breakdancers

► a T-shirt printing station where you can choose your own design and colors

► a Buy It Now Center with dozens of gift certificates, tickets to sports and cultural events, and objets d'art

► a silent auction that will include:

     ♦ 2-d and 3-d work by professional artists

     ♦ artwork created by Cook Arts Center students

     ♦ quilts designed and stitched by Cook Library Center students

     ♦ a tailgate party for eight provided by Pit Stop Catering

     ♦ dinner for eight at the McCabe-Marlowe House

     ♦ a Steelcase Think chair

     ♦ gift baskets

     ♦ an overnight stay at Grand Haven's Harbor House Inn with gift certificates to two restaurants

     ♦ an overnight stay at the Sleep Inn in Allendale with a gift certificate for the Main Street Pub

     ♦ a charter fishing trip courtesy of Michigan Out of Doors Television Show. The excursion will be filmed and may be aired on the show.
