Arts Summer Programs
Keep learning through the summer and have fun with art, dance, cooking and more.
Structured like a Summer day camp, students meet Monday through Friday from noon to five pm for six weeks. Students explore academic subjects in the math and sciences through dancing, painting, reading and the visual arts through daily hands-on activities and field trips every Friday.
After School Arts
The Cook Arts Center offers a variety of art, pottery, dance, music, fabric arts and theatre classes throughout the year. We offer eleven or twelve-week sessions in the fall and winter and six-week sessions in the spring. Programs are available for all ages. Classes and programs are all FREE for all those who live in the Roosevelt Park and Black Hills neighborhoods or attend school at Southwest Community Campus or Cesar E. Chavez school.
Cook Library Summer Clubs
Due to COVID19, there are a lot of changes to our programming, but the Cook Library Center staff are here to help! Virtual schooling has been a challenge but our team is still working to support students in their studies, and also in their social life.
Playing helps us imagine a better world, find paths for us to take, and feel safe and loved. Play alongside Ms. Emily and help build the Occupation Station with your own imagination!
